Holden Capps is entering his first season as Head Baseball coach at Cameron University. A former standout player at Lawton High School, Capps was drafted in the 8th round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals.
Following a six-year professional career, which included 42 appearances at the AA level with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, Capps became a Division I assistant coach at Long Island University where he has been the recruiting coordinator and pitching coach for the past three seasons. Capps played a key role in leading LIU to the 2024 Northeast Conference Championship and the NCAA Division I baseball tournament.

Prior to beginning his professional baseball career, Capps pitched two seasons at Redlands Community College in El Reno, Oklahoma, one season at Division I UNC Charlotte, and one season at Division II University of Central Oklahoma.Â
Capps graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor's degree in General Studies with a concentration in Exercise Science.
