Dallas, Texas - The Cameron University Volleyball team continued play at the Lone Star Conference Challenge Friday evening against Western New Mexico University inside the Burg Center. The Aggies improved throughout the match and pushed the Mustangs to extra points in the third before falling in three sets, 25-18, 25-18, 26-24. After dropping the opening set, Cameron responded with a strong start in the second, building a 7-2 advantage behind the serve of Madison Waiki before Western New Mexico rallied for a 25-18 win. The Aggies produced their best offensive performance in the third, recording 18 kills and hitting .239. Dallas, Texas - The Cameron University Volleyball team opened play at the Lone Star Conference Challenge Thursday evening against Dallas Baptist University inside the Burg Center. The Aggies showed improvement throughout the match and produced their strongest offensive set of the night in the third before falling in three sets, 25-17, 25-19, 25-21. Cameron battled back from an early deficit in the opening set, using consecutive service aces from Emily Jaramillo to pull even at 13-13. DBU responded and eventually pulled away to take the opener, 25-17. The Aggies again fought back in the second, trimming a 10-3 deficit to 14-13 before the Patriots answered with a run of their own. Cameron scored five of the final six points before DBU closed the set, 25-19. The Aggies put together their best stretch of the match in the third, racing out to a 7-1 advantage behind a strong service run from Madison Waiki. Cameron maintained control through much of the frame and held a 20-16 lead following a block from Ana Hrle and Luana Lombardi. DBU answered with an 8-0 run to move ahead 24-20 before the Aggies fought off one match point on a Waiki kill. The Patriots followed with the final point to secure the 25-21 victory. The Aggies battled the Hawks throughout the opening set before falling in three, 25-23, 25-14, 25-19. Cameron rallied from a four-point deficit in the first and briefly took a 22-21 lead before Quincy closed out a 25-23 win. The Hawks carried the momentum into the second, using a late run to take the set 25-14. Cameron responded with a strong start in the third, building a 5-1 advantage behind consecutive service aces from Madison Waiki and later leading 16-12 following a kill from Maria Osorio. Lawton, Okla. - The Cameron University Volleyball team opened play at the Cameron University Invitational Friday afternoon with a five-set battle against Minot State University inside Aggie Gym. The Aggies jumped out to a two-set advantage before the Beavers rallied to take the final three sets, as Cameron fell 17-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-15, 15-11. Cameron came out strong in the opening set, using an early run behind the serve of Madison Waiki to build an 8-1 advantage. The Aggies maintained control throughout the set, with Maria Osorio and Caitlyn Cornell helping provide the offensive production before Cameron closed out the first set 25-17. The Aggies hit .310 in the opening frame with 12 kills and just three attack errors. The second set proved much tighter, but Cameron again found a way to finish. After Minot State pulled within one at 24-23, Maria Osorio delivered the set-winning kill to give Cameron a 25-23 victory and a 2-0 lead in the match. Minot State responded in the third set, building an early advantage before Cameron attempted to battle its way back. The Aggies trimmed a late deficit with kills from Presleigh Roest, Osorio and Waiki, but the Beavers held on to extend the match. Minot State then carried the momentum into the fourth set to force a deciding fifth. Cameron continued to battle in the final frame after falling behind 3-0. The Aggies answered with five consecutive points to take a 5-3 lead, highlighted by a kill from Taylor Silva. The teams traded momentum before Minot State pulled ahead late. The Aggies finished with 54 points, trailing only East Central University's winning total of 30. Cameron placed three runners inside the top seven and finished ahead of Midwestern State University, Northwestern Oklahoma University and Amarillo College in the team standings. Boglarka, Kalman led the Aggies with a third-place finish, completing the 5K course in 18:25.3. Akaya Lightbourne followed close behind in fifth place with a time of 18:57.1, while Alyssa Buchan gave Cameron its third top-seven finisher, placing seventh in 19:06.2.Daira Rojas-Vasquez crossed the line fourth for Cameron, finishing 16th overall with a time of 19:50.2. Charlotte Glander completed the Aggies' scoring five with a 23rd-place finish in 20:10.0. The five scorers combined for a total time of 1:36:28 and an average time of 19:17.Cameron also received finishes from Jodi-Ann Graham, who placed 40th in 21:52.3, and Noa Garcia-Mejias, who finished 46th in 22:18.3. LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron University men's cross country team opened the 2026 season Friday morning at the Aggie Duels, with sophomore Isaac Renteria leading the Aggies across the finish line in the men's 5K. Renteria turned in Cameron's top performance of the morning, finishing seventh overall with a time of 26:31.0. Senior Victor Ramos followed with a 12th-place finish, clocking a time of 26:57.4, while junior Noe Chretien gave the Aggies three runners inside the top 15 with a 14th-place finish in 27:17.4. Senior Cyprien Bille was the fourth Cameron runner across the line, placing 23rd with a time of 28:04.8. Sophmore Adria Estevez-Bosch rounded out Cameron's scoring five in his collegiate debut, finishing just behind Bille in 24th at 28:09.7. Philipp David finished 27th in 28:26.9, while Emmanouill Vardas crossed the line 30th with a time of 28:40.2.
