
Cameron runners picked seventh in LSC preseason poll
July 31, 2012 LAWTON, Okla. -- The Aggie cross country team came in seventh in the Lone Star Conference preseason polls with 84 points announced by the conference office today in San Antonio, Texas.Eastern New Mexico with 18 first place votes and 178 points came in first, followed by Abilene Christian (131), Texas A&M-Commerce (119), West Texas A&M (113), Angelo State (91), Tarleton State (91), Cameron (84), Texas A&M-Kingsville (50), and Incarnate Word (43).
Cameron returns senior runner Moses Kipkosgei, who enters his third season on the team along with a talented incoming class of newcomers.
The team will start its season on August 31 south of the Red River in Wichita Falls, Texas at the Midwestern State University Stampede.
Additionally, Cameron University will also host the Aggie Showdown on September 8 and the LSC Championships on October 20.
