June 14, 2012 Lawton, Okla. - A total of 32 Cameron University student-athletics have been named on Thursday to the LSC Commissioner's honor roll for the 2011-12 academic year.Amanda Karth (softball), Carrie Dilks (softball), Ali Brown (women's basketball), and Jordan Kauk (women's basketball) were included to the honor roll but also all had a 4.00 GPA for their work in the classroom.
“It is a real tribute to these student athletes that can not only perform at a high level athletically, but also manage their time in order to perform at the top academically," said Cameron University Athletic Director Jim Jackson. "That accomplishment is not easy, but I am not surprised because I see their daily commitment to be the best they can be."
This is the second year that the Commissioner's Honor Roll program is being announced after the conclusion of the spring academic term with student-athletes qualifying based on grade-point average for the current academic year. Previously, the honorees qualified by cumulative GPA and were announced by sport at the end of each respective season.
To be eligible for the Commissioner's Honor Roll, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 GPA for the current academic year and be active on the roster.
